Reagents for PBMC Cryopreservation
CTL'S PBMC Cryopreservation platform assisting Immune Monitoring
Immune monitoring is inconceivable without the ability to cryopreserve PBMC. PBMC frozen, stored, shipped and thawed according to CTL's protocols and with CTL's reagents maintain their full functionality providing the same results as they did freshly after isolation. This has been established both for B cell (See our publication) and for T cell assays (See our publication).
There are multiple advantages for working with cryopreserved PBMC vs. freshly isolated cells. First, if frozen in aliquots, the same sample can be tested repeatedly, permitting to reproduce results, or to narrow in with testing. Secondly, cells can be shipped to central laboratories (including CTL's CRO) where they can be subject to high throughput batch testing under GLP. PBMC cryopreservation is essential for T and B cell assay development and validation, as well as proficiency testing (See our publication) with all of which CTL can assist.
